• Why *not* Touch?

During the Q&A portion of a recent webinar with Ryan Orrock, we were asked several questions about distance healing work and particularly the work of a dakini.  A series of questions from one listener jumped out at me and was the impetus for writing this article.  In particular, she asked “why is this [type of healing] more preferable than other kinds of healing?”  It would be difficult to talk about preference since that is such an individual choice.  But I can offer some insights and opinions as a professional energy healer.

3 Reasons Distance Dakini Healing is a Brilliant Solution

    1. RISK REDUCTION. Hands-on healing is fraught with both ethical and (in some areas) legal risks. We eliminate those.  (I just helped a young woman overcome anorgasmia.  She had suffered from anorgasmia for nearly 16 years and our long distance healing sessions “cured” her in under 3 months with no hands-on work.)
    2. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. As a practitioner, I can help anyone in the world who has a phone and / or internet connection.  What I have to offer is not limited by geography or time zones.  My current client list has people from Wales, Thailand, New York, New Jersey, Texas, Alaska and the Bay Area.
    3. EMPOWERING THE CLIENT.  A pitfall I avoid by doing dakini work this way is clients not growing dependent upon my in-person touch to get their result. I’m also not put in the position of being a potential barrier between them and another person because of physical touch. The client I mentioned above (formerly) with anorgasmia is a great example of this.  She brought her husband in to one of my suggested exercises and as her intimate partner he helped her achieve orgasm.  That was an extremely powerful experience for them to share as lovers and an incredible way for them to deepen their bond of intimacy.  Because she’s had such phenomenal results (that also benefit him!), her husband is a big proponent of our healer / client relationship and feels me to be ‘on their team’.

Though not an exhaustive list of the benefits of hands-free distance healing work, for me, the proof is in the results my clients are receiving.
